Welcome to the Australian Local Food System Policy Database. This is a collection of policies from New South Wales (NSW) and Victorian local governments that relate to healthy, sustainable, and equitable food systems.

ETHICAL CATERING POLICY 3. POLICY PROVISIONS 3.1 Council will preference locally-grown and seasonally-available produce and valueadded products in all catering arrangements. In instances where a locally-grown food item is not available, Council will source value-added products and produce grown/manufactured in Australia with preference given to ‘certified organic’ and low food miles.
