Annual Report 2018/19 | As a region we should all be extremely grateful for the July 2018 announcement by NSW Deputy Premier and Minister for Regional NSW John Barilaro, that Parkes will be the State's first special activation precinct (SAP), funded under the NSW Government’s $4.2 billion Snowy Hydro Legacy Fund. The SAP will provide land, fast tracked planning approvals, enabling infrastructure, government lead studies and a business concierge service. ANNUAL REPORT 2018/19 | Menindee Drought Relief Menindee has been in the news with fish kills and blue green algae in the towns water supply leading to the State Government having to provide the delivery of drinking water to some 95 Menindee Environs and station residents traversing distances of up to 180klm round-trips. The Menindee Transaction Centre staff coordinate the day-to-day runnings of the delivery of water, reporting to Shire Management and Essential Water on a monthly basis.
