There is a preliminary assessment of potential locations in the Study and eight potential sites are identified. There are recommendations contained in the document that have not yet been adopted by Council. However, a recommendation "that the concept and potential locations for a transport and logistics hub be tested with local industry groups to ensure that the intent and scope of future work is focused on delivering a product that is going to provide benefit to local industries and the community" is a recommendation. Council staff participated within the Schools Careers Expo at Young High School. Council Environmental Health Officers were present to discuss and answer questions from High School students on the rewarding career of a Council Environmental Health Officer. 2018-19 ANNUAL REPORT | Continuation of the Food Safety Training for Community and Not for Profit Organisations. Hilltops Council staff commenced introductory Food Safety training for community groups. Four separate training sessions were held throughout the Hilltops region. Approximately 60 members of the community, incorporating various not-for-profit organisations took advantage of the free sessions to gain insight into food handling and hygiene requirements. 2018-19 ANNUAL REPORT | The ‘Scores on Doors’ program is a food safety scoring program that displays the results of the most recent inspection of food premises. The program empowers the public to make informed choices on where they wish to eat, whether it be at local restaurants, takeaway shops, bakeries, pub bistros or cafes.
