Waste from red-lidded bins is now processed at the new Mechanical and Biological Treatment (MBT) facility for use as compost for rehabilitating the Woodlawn mine site. More than 50% of waste from red-lidded bins will be transformed into compost adding to existing waste diversion services through recycling of cardboard, plastics, metals, and garden organics.
