Provisions already exist in WLEP 2010 to enable primary producers to sell their produce directly to the public, however certain inadequacies were identified by stakeholders at the Rural Tourism Forum. As Table 3.4 below indicates, the certain zones permit certain activities, either without Council consent (o), or with Council consent (c) and prohibit others (x). Intensive livestock agriculture, limited to the RU1 Primary production zone, is not included in the table.
