ANNUAL REPORT 2018 – 2019 Council in conjunction with Netwaste continued to promote its Food and Organic recycling education program through FOGO pledge program which included FOGO television, social and print media, pop up displays at supermarkets and market days. Council continued with its Primary School waste education program. Council provided energy efficiency tips in the Winter 2018 and Summer 2019 Council newsletter. ANNUAL REPORT 2018 – 2019 2018/2019 Activity Maintain a water supply to Ootha village. 2018/2019 Action Monitoring of system and routine maintenance and repairs to ensure water is available. Responsible Officer Manager Water Comments Improving the telemetry at Ootha with better power supply to prevent loss of connectivity, and better control monitoring. Also progressing the upgrading of the pump site, with the construction of a new pump shed, and the supply of a backup pump. The new pump arrangement will be more reliable and enable a quick changeover should there be a problem with the existing single pump. Project expected to be completed by August 2019. A number of changes are in progress including a major tightening of our turbidity critical control points, reducing level from 2 NTU to 0.5NTU. This will mean that the plant will need to be working in the optimum range at all times. All Critical Control points and Standard operating procedures are being reviewed.
